After doing a lower leg service when tightening the bolt which holds the lowers on I managed to snap the threaded section, it's the bit that pops through the lowers. Can't remember wheter it's the spring or damper side. the forks are the 2009 talas versions.
Is there an easy (read cheap) fix?

I guess no! Thats the bottom of the actual part of the fork that does anything, might have to replace the whole cartridge unit

It'll be the base valve assm on the damper side (not sure these are availble or if I have spares as cart. now obsolete)
Talas side it'll be a new talas lower assm.
