DOne it a couple of times, tandem. Really good fun - seems to leave me "buzzing" for days on end...

Mate of mine is well into it. Very expensive and very addictive, You better have deep pockets.

He's moved next door to an airfield near Madrid just to make it easier/cheaper to jump. At one point he was jumping 7-8 times a day and he's just bought a wingsuit...

Don't sleep with your instructor though.

Been several times, although not recently, definitely a buzz but I'd still rather cane some good trails on my bike.

It's another sport which seems to attract more than it's fair share of knobs and posers too ! Also expensive.

lol@ allthegear.
I feel entirely reassured with the defense's argument - she's fine. See she works with primary school children now...

I had ago at it, got to do some dummy pulls but to be honest I found it boring. I think the fun must be in free-falling. For the money it cost and all the sitting around waiting for a window to jump did my head in and got I more of a thrill out of climbing at the time.

But I'll still say give it ago if only for the experience but do a solo jump imo.

Used to do it a while ago.

If you want to do it as a one off, do a tandem. If you think you might want to take it up as a hobby, do the static line course.

Either way, do it, it'll change your life.

done a tandem in NZ a few years back, nearly stopped travelling there and then to spunk all my money on the course to allow me to do solo, loved it loved it loved it, do it its ace, agree with the comments about waiting for weather windows etc over here tried to do it a few times down in cornwall (nearest to me) and never got it together cos of the wind there..
