Oh aye, forgot to say I (innadvertantly) managed to solve it ๐
I was messing about with the tensioner. The spring original went through one of the holes in the tensioner
I had pulled the spring out the hole and had a fiddle but when I replaced it I put it over the top rather than through the hole. This put a bit more tension in the spring which in turn put a bit more tension in the chain and I haven't had any problems since ๐
