Don't see many others out on the trails due to them sending a screwed up prototype for testing in the mags. Now running a Pace rigid fork and trailrakers for mud plugging.

Just finished adding new cables/outers, and a front disc conversion all thanks to the CRC sale 8) I've now removed the V brake bosses and cable tied the front brake cable to the fork so it looks neater. Thinking of removing some of the stickers after seeing this thread though!

The latest incarnation of my hummer i posted on Page 1, i removed the Kashima Talas as they were gonna get trashed riding over the winter and i didn't feel like stripping them down every few rides so i've went rigid - it handled Kirroughtree on New Years day rather well.

Silly light now, 9.2kg or 20.3lbs - need all the help i can get to lug my xmas belly up the hills.

They're the 470mm 15mm bolt through X-Lites which sorta works out to a 110-120 suspension fork length, i dithered over whether or not to get the 455mm version and to be honest i'm not 100% convinced if i made the right call as on some steep climbs it occasionally pops the front end and you really need to drive it into bends with your weight over the front rather than take a more back seat approach, i guess i'll drop the 20mm of spacers from under the stem and that should help the front end lift, i might wait a while till i get used to the change in riding style that riding rigid brings and if i'm still unsure i'll get a set of the 455mm X-Lites and try them back to back / lap to lap at Kirroughtree (my local 7stane) and sell the version i'm not happy with.

Another pic to show the front end,

Rocketdog - Looks like single ring and no chain device?

Do you have any issues with the chain coming off? Or do you have one of those new fangled clutch derailleurs?

Back to the top with my favourite bike. My Pipedream Modro SS, Although taken in 2008, I really havent changed much apart from tyres and pedals and the fortnightly hope rear hub bearings, its that dialed for me. Ridden 6 days out of 7 during the winter months. It is lovely.
