@chunkypaul
they are very good when it's dry and loose but greasy mud shows them up a bit. I'm not too impressed with their construction either, all the outer knobs are starting to separate from the carcass. I used a triple compound version during the summer on the rear and it seemed to wear out very quickly. I didn't feel that comfortable with it on the rear, they seem much more suited on the front. I had a few off's due to the rear sliding out where I dont think a minion or high roller would.

Try again. Retired Solid Index.

That's one of those Astrix frames, like the on-one growler I did a few years ago.

It is - motolink suspension design built under license from Astrix by Solid Bikes I think.

Having more than one pivot doesn't stop a frame being a single pivot at least not functionally. They're just single pivot with link actuated shock. The I-drive isn't a single pivot though.

My single pivot:

personally clubber, i would call that a faux bar as it has a pivot on the seatstay

If it has no extra pivots between main pivot and the wheel then it's a single pivot. Regardless of how the shock is actuated.

I'd have said a single pivot was defined by having a single pivot point. The bike you show doesnt, the rear wheel does not follow a circular path about one pivot. Though the deviation may be very small on that setup.

<edit> looked more closely, fair point, not a 4 bar setup that I thought it was.

Very old pic of mine, excuse the odd looking bike holder:

ooOOoo - That doesn't look like a single pivot to me. It's an ABP Trek isn't it.

Nice picture though. Looking North-West from somewhere near the top of the Worcestershire Beacon at a guess?

Ha! Pwned you ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes, it's a 'faux bar' but as I said, that's just a single pivot with a linkage activating the shock.
