How does the bike handle with 160mm forks?
I'm thinking about building a Bfe with 160mm Slants, but I'm afraid it might be a bit overkill and make the bike handle like a longboat.
Any opinions?

Had 130/160 Slants on mine. 160 climbed surprisingly well and was great downhill if things were relatively straight. Anything else at 130 or the front tended to drift out unless every corner was taken on the button. Still perfectly ok, just not 100%

Liked it but very stiff and unforgiving at the rear!

Holy thread resurrection!

This is the latest pic of mine. I have brakes now but I still haven't ridden it.

I need a short stem as that huge one is borrowed and I think I'll be shortening the forks to 130 or 140.
