[#4276078]

I'm getting ready to start building up my daughters first 26" wheeled bike and am looking for cranks. I want something fairly cheap if possible but beyond the fairly standard option of 165mm arms are there any useful shorter options?

Something cheap and cheerful like the ones on her current Isla Beinn would be fine, only want a single ring around 32 tooth.

it wouldn't be that big a deal to go for 165 / 170mm so I'm not going to pay a massive amount.

Ta.

thorn do a 110mm bcd crank down to 140mm IIRC, good for 33t. See SJS.

Also have a look at 4 or 5-bolt bmx cranks. Billys , Winstanleys, et al

Go for TA and you can build up a custom set.

I'd have though that, if she is tall enough for a 26" wheeled bike, then a 165mm crank arm would be a good fit anyway.

Thanks for the ideas so far.

druidh, she may well be but as I'm picing it together in the run up to Christmas it'd be nice to have the option of using the time to get it just so without doing my normal build trick of throwing too much money at the bike to get it sorted in a hurry.

Maybe...

Not single ring, but they are available in short lengths.
