Im looking to get a new CTD shock to match my CTD fork.
Sizing on Santa Cruz website says the shock is 7.875”x 2”.
Will a 7.875x2.25" work or am im gonna cause an issue putting that size on?

The stroke will determine how far the rear and the linkages travel, It could cause fouling on the frame depending on tolerances. The 2" should be available - what frame? You also want the tune for the frame too.
Extra 6mm of stroke will result in 12-18mm extras travel and could result in either the tyre hitting the seat tube of the linkages bottoming out and damaging the frame.
mmmmm...ok thanks guys. Its a Superlight 29er. I wanted to get the shock 2nd hand so was looking around and found one that was what i wanted but alas the wrong size. I wont risk it, will just wait for the correct size to come up.
