I'm about to change mine as there is a bit of play. How tight a fit should the spacers (top hats) be in the bushings? I've just removed some brand new spacers from a spare shock I had knocking about and they were a bastard to get out as they were so tightly fitted. I thought they are supposed be vey tight but still able to rotate?

Any help gratefully recieved.

should be able to rotate them when clamped in a vice without using alot of pressure. The tolerences of the spacers (top hats) and DU/eyelet bushes (hoola hoops) can vary.
The stock Fox DUs (usually with an orange inside surface) can be quite tight with certain spacers.

Thanks. I have a spare set of bushings that came from Mojo with some spacers I ordered but they are not orange inside so they must me DU. Is it worth me buying the orange DP4 ones over these standard DU ones do you reckon?

The orange ones usually come fitted in the shocks, I fit Polymer ones as slighlty less sticton and last 2 to 4 times as long as the 'standard' metal DU bushes.
As confirmed by tests by the Loco BM Racing XC and Endurance team, not just a random claim ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for that hugely useful. Appreciate the help I shall be ordering those then as mine seem to only last about 3 months.
