Shiny shiny...
I'm toying with the idea of building up some wheels with silvery components, hubs and spokes seem simple enough to obtain, but what about rims? Polished, etc..
All I can find online are Velocity (a US brand), and Halo vapour rims (not sure if these are still produced)
What am I missing?
Thanks
I saw an ad somewhere yesterday for shiny Ritchey rims
IHN , that makes sense , I know they do the 'ritchey classic' seatposts.

I think Hunt did a set of shiny silver wheels too?
If building wheels, you could buy any wheels and either strip and polish them (would need a clear coating to keep them nice) or paint them silver?

Just a sample set I think. They looked ace.
I miss polished rims... remember FiR?
Spank have done some silver rims I recall.
Kinlin, adhn, xr21 etc

Halo vapour in 27.5 and 29. Available in silver and polished.
Most, possibly all, of the halo aluminium rims are made by kinlin iirc.

Taste!

Mavic M6 Oxygen? I eschewed a set of the more 'desirable' dark anodised M7s, for the shininess of the M6s. I later bought a set of Campag K2 rims, quite deep section for the tim, shiny polished finish, weighed about 100g more each, than less 'sexy' rims, but I didn't care. It was all about the polished shininess. All rims and components seem to be either black or dark grey these days. I lament the demise of Shiny. :'(
Yeah when I said “sample” I was referring to the shiny trailwides they had made up to try out. Lovely they were. I’m 99.9% mountain biker… when someone says rims its mountain bike rims I think of. Lots of shiny road rims available.
Hunt also use Kinlin rims iirc.
try DCR wheels for silver hubs and rims
