Anyone know if the pads that XT brakes come supplied with are finned versions of the £6.99 ones called 'resin' on CRC? CRC do 'resin' or 'metal'. Looking for some good hard-wearing pads. Superstar ones don't last anything like as long as the finned ones my brakes came with, but I'm not bothered about shelling out the extra for fins. Ta.

I tend to just but a bulk load of the finned metal ones when they are on offer. In my experience they last longer than the budget ones I've tried.

You'll get a set of finned IceTech pads with a new XT brake. Makes them even better value.
