Quick question. The wee white plastic ring ... where does it go? Had to take my cassette off for a couple of weeks to get a wheel repaired and now can't remember where it goes. It isn't even shown on the exploded drawing in the dealer manual.

I'm not sure it is the adhesive ring tbh. Can't see what else it could be though.
