My experience was Shimano size 47, when I need size 45 for everything else.

Shimano sizes come up small, go up at least a size from your normal sizing.

I typically fit in size 9 or 10 'standard shoes'.
I fit shimano 44 perfectly.

I'm normally a 46, and I have Shimano M77 in size 47, they're a bit "roomy" would say that Shimano is only 1/2 a size smaller

I dunno, I'm a 47 in most brands, bought some Shimano M162s a couple of weeks ago and 47 in them too. Snug 47 to be fair but that's how I like summer cycling shoes. Buy a couple of sizes from CRC and send one back?
