How do they come up these days? I have some old winter boots that are a 42 with room for thick socks, but after some replacement 'summer' shoes and wondering if the 42 would be too big.

If I buy big S again I will get 2 sizes bigger. I've no idea how they work out their sizes.

Was looking for some shoes on CRC last night and all the comments seem to say up one size for Shimano, which I had to do on my last pair.
