Thinking of buying slx 10 speed sl m660 shifter,
Will it definitely work with the shadow + rear mechs?
A friend mentioned a while back that he had trouble getting an
older shifter to work nicely with a new shadow+ rear mech

I had trouble but it was because the mech was well out of tune from the factory the A and B screws needed fettling. But you will be ok!

10-speed is all compatible. There's muttering that the latest 10-speed shifters are tweaked to work better with the shadow+ but tbh I'm fairly convinced that's cobblers.
