Just looking for a place where I can get a couple of link wires for some early 90's shimano cantilever brakes, I have some with the leter "A" stamped on and they are too small at about 70mm and have some at about 110 mm but they snag on my rock shox when the brake is used (the bit where the brake cable goes through)

So looking to try and get hold of some at about 90mm to see if they will work

(my brakes are like these)

cheers

Andy

Think I just found about 5 or 6 packs with these in the other day. Will check tomorrow.

These may not be the exact one, but call em. They may have what you want.

Why not just use a normal straddle hanger and straddle cable?

Like brant says. You can cut down an old brake cable and use it as an old straddle wire.
The shimano setup was rubbish for getting any decent power from cantis.

Get over to the Retrobike forum (www.retrobike.co.uk). That lot over there will tell you where to get a far better alternative. I was looking at a similar thread on there the other day and people were comparing their straddle/hanger setups. You can get blue anodised doughnuts, smiley faces, CNC'd pasta shapes...
