Has anyone done the Shigura Mod and what Shimano levers did you use
Not having a lot of luck with my rear on my MT5 and having already stripped one bleed screw on my lever I’m thinking time for something more sturdy

Old slx levers on MT5 here. Bloody great. Heaps of power, consistent bite point, no fluid leaks yet. Bleed it using the Marshy method.

New SLX levers, MT5 callipers, Magura pin and hose, shimano olive (not sure if this is the right combo, but it works fine and no leaks.) oodles of power, callipers that properly self adjust and levers that can be quick-bled in 2 minutes. Do it!

Like that but XT levers as I wanted the bite point adjustment.  Lovely except all that tappity tap to bleed the levers nearly gave me an RSI.  I think Shimano need a bigger reservoir for their master cylinders but since the original installation I’ve had no trouble

I've get a Magano front brake currently (Magura MT7 lever, Shimano Zee caliper) but not by choice and I didn't put it all together. Not sure that helps you but it works fine 😉

I wanted XT levers but there was nowt doing back in April, so settled for SLX. They’ve been perfect though, so probably the more sensible option.

@stingmered
All I can see for sale is XT and there only a couple of quid dearer than the SLX so might need to suck it up and get the XT
