3 rides 3 tics...

None of the rides involved hanging around much.

The worst bit is that my wife found a tic on her this morning and I was the one who went riding. I didn't shower when I got back, so it must of 'jumped ship' during the night.

How big are ticks, cos I think I found one on me this morning. was in Swinley yesterday.

Was on my chest; first I jut thought it was a tiny scab from a thorn prick or something, but then it appeared to be 'attached'. Pulled it out with tweezers, including it's tiny hook thing. About 1.5mm across. Was it a tick?

You can't - watch out for signs of a rash. If you get it, go to the docs with a print out of that info (lyme is rare, most GPs will try to fob you off) and get the readies.

You can get the other symptoms without the rash, so just keep an eye on yourself - without becoming hypochonriacal.

I was lucky. I now have a tick pen.

2 mins later:

(Decides that writing will is quite pointless as there's nowt to put in it. Gives up. Gets bored lying in bed, gets up to make cup of tea)

If you get a rash from a bite it can fade quite fast so photograph it while it's prominent and take the photo to your GP.

O'Tom tick twizzler or similar is one of the safest ways to remove them.

If that's when you got it, I'm afraid it's highly unlikely that you're going to die, Elf ๐Ÿ˜‰
