[Closed] Setting suspension bike sag

What's the correct technique? Sit on carefully, weight in the middle, and climb off without disturbing the 'O' ring indicators or jump on, bounce up and down to overcome any stiction in the seals then get someone to push the 'O' rings down?

I bounce up and down a bit and then carefully perch myself in the attack position. Then very carefully get off without compressing the sespension or ideally have someone check the sag with me on the bike.

The latter. Averaging seated and standing sag is often a good bet for the shock, just standing for the fork.

Thanks Gents. I've had a suspension bike for years, but once I'd worked out what pressures I needed, just stuck with it and now a replacement has arrived I'd forgotten the procedure.
