My HiLo keeps annoyingly dropping about an inch in height.
A service is due and there are a few tips on the interweb.
Has anybody attemted it and does anybody have any pearls of wisdom or tips?
Thanks
I was meaning to do mine, but I just replaced the cable, gave the moving bit at the top a squirt of GT85 and it works like new again! The cable had just gunged up so it crept up quickly and down slowly.
In dont use the cable i just use the seat lever as it get used on 2 bikes
Topped up the air pressure? It needs to be pressurised with the lever held open, 25PSI if I recall correctly.
Mine has done the same since new, I have read that many do, I believe it to be air in the oil as it doesn't sag halfway.
I changed the oil out to fork oil, then filling it up trying to remove all air. Seemed to cure it a little, but the only sucessful method of stopping the sag is to release the post to full extension very slowly. Not great but I know how to use it now and its fine. Annoying but fine
You see I didnt know that! This maybe the problem. Will try when i get home....nice one
I don't know for sure, but it makes sense to me

There are a couple of other good servicing articles on there too. Thanks Mr. Fox if you're still around these parts.
