Hi, so I have heard that riding seldom seen (helvellyn) can cause a few issues with the farmer. Am i making this up? Is it best avoided nowadays or is it the same as any cheeky routes?
Ridden in once years ago and got a right bollocking from the farmer at the bottom. Never rode it since, but loads do seemingly without issues.
TBF, it is a busy footpath which is easily eroded and runs pretty much through the farm I think?
Is this the one which a few of the 'famous' riders put into a youtube 'edit' and photo session, not realising it was a footpath?
I've done it a couple of times without issue. You don't need to drop down through the farm, go through the gate in the wall in front of you rather than left after the descent.

Rarely meet many walkers on it and there might be a farm near the bottom, but if so I've not really noticed.

You might even say, they're seldom seen ...

... or that you've seldom seen one ...
