[#728331]

So I spend most of the afternoon swapping some bits about and onto the new bike. Just about to go for a ride when I decide to check the tyres and find I can't inflate the one tyre as the valve appears to be seized. I can unscrew the valve but it won't release any pressure. They're tubeless XT wheels which I converted to run stans no tubes. I think the problem may be that I fiited the tyre, inflated and then have'nt used - maybe the sealant has clogged the valve??
Any ideas??

Yep, sealant probably clogged the valve. Perhaps try to pump like a maniac, or use a compressor to kind of blow the solid bit back into the tyre. Else, change the valve.

You can get new valve cores from Just Riding Along - could try unscrewing the core and replacing it with a new one.

Cheers for the replies 🙂

Maybe stupid question but if I unscrew the valve won't the sealant blow everywhere??

pretty much...although you can control it a bit as you unscrew it.

Try a bit of hot water on the valve, might be enough to loosen the latex.
