My new seat post clamps by inserting the saddle rails into two parallel gullies, and then clamping to aluminium plates (also with gullies) against the outside of the rails.
Today I came down rather heavily on my saddle and the two gullies seem to have become misaligned by a few degrees, causing rails to no longer sit flush in both gullies ๐
I bought the post from Actionsports in Germany, and was wondering;
A) if anyone had experience this before, I can't seem to get them to realign, any tips?
B) who should I approach, the seller, the manufacturer or the UK distributor / service centre - or is it something a LBS could sort out?
Anyway, all advice much appreciated.
what seatpost?
It's an X-Fusion Hilo.
same as a joplin and bonty seat post by the looks. Loosen off the bolt and line it up, do up again.
It's strange, but before I sat heavily on the saddle, when both saddle rails are clamped in, but with the bolt loosened off I could adjust the tilt. But now it seems to be jammed - I could not get either side to move at all. I'll give it another go tomorrow - maybe it needs a bit of encouragement from a hammer!
