I've just noticed some nice gouges in the non-drive side stanchions on my Pikes (coils). I've seen people use nail varnish etc before to smooth them out. Has anyone had any experience? I can't really afford to replace the uppers at the moment so I’m all ears to suggestions.

Very fine wet and dry to smooth out any nicks then nail varnish or epoxy then more wet and dry do a search on Google there are a couple of guides on how to do it.
However before you do that you want to make sure that there is nothing caught in the seals creating the gouges.

Yeah, I think a seal change may well be a good idea anyway. Thanks. 🙂
