It will mean new chain stays. Scott do a kit which will be very expensive probably so trawl e-bay for frames as I did but phone a Scott dealer for a proce too. Pedal on cycles would be worth a shout as they sorted out a pivot bolt for me which Scott only do as a £100 kit!

yep new chain stay time, a friend tore his mech off, and due to the non replaceable hanger ended up with a rather large bill as he needed a new mech and chainstay

I'd look at either getting the mech hanger helicoiled or using a thin headed nut the other side of the hanger and a slightly longer bolt..

a number of companies do 'emergency mech hangers that attach to a qr too - might be worth investigating.

wwaswas- not possible on the Genius if he's bent the rear stay as well as it's all integral.

Sadly the downside of the genius- but it's only one .

see if you can buy a knackered frame and then keep for spares or sell the bits you don't want? They are easy enough to dismantle and the seatstay bearings aren't too tricky to replace.

i did this to my carbon scale and when i contacted scott they put me in touch with a company called hq fibre products in norfolk (i think) who removed the old dropout and bonded a newer replacable hanger type on, not as big a job as you'd think cost about £50
