Recently i broke a original style Selle Italia Flite, currently the bike has a SLR 135 fitted which is ok, but not ideal on longer rides.
Every Fizik I have tried I simply haven't liked, so really I am after some ideas in SLR/Flite style but hopefully not quite as expensive.
I've got a carbon railed, carbon bodied Selle San Marco Concor. I used to get on superbly with the SLR Gel Flow and get on equally well with this. It's taken a beating so far - it lives on my hardtail and I've done long days on it and days at the DH tracks.
I don't get allong with the flite (didn't like the curved profile) but do like my slr gel flow in the narrow width.
Negatives:

And that's about it.
Off road I've got a charge spoon and ragley Ti saddle, both too wide and and no real cut out but with more movement they're not too bad.
Are there any budget narrow saddles with a cut out and a flat profile?
In a swap shop style:
Phenom 143mm black (fairly well used)
Flite 135mm gel flow, white (looks fairly well used, but it's white so not actually that old!)
slr max flow 135mm black (month or so old)
Swap for saddles like an slr or phenom but in 130-135 width.
I've got one of these
San Marco Dirty in Karbon flavour and it's blinking fantastic. It's very light @ 165g and doesn't have the cutting your leg in half thing that a 135g SLR does as it's got quite deep sides.
Not sure how available they are as I had to get mine from Germany a while back but it's narrow, comfortable and light.

I've got this Dirty San Marco in the classifieds if you want something cheap to try out 🙂
It has a groove and a fairly flat profile.
Check out the top end of the WTB or SDG ranges. There was a nice 160g SDG model that came up when I last asked this, but I forget its name*. I'm currently using a SDG Falcon on my XC bike (mostly because despite not being weenie light it was cheap s/h and it looks the part!) which is very comfortable.
