I'm after some new lighter wheels for my 29er (Crest on Pro Evo).

Will this combo be pantaloons if I run it as SS?? As I'm concerned about killing the freehub body.

If you're buying new I'd reccomend the steel freehub body option if you plan to run ss.

Otherwise make sure you buy a wide base SS cog

Just use a wide body cog like on-one groove armada or the surly wide body !

Also have a look at Superstar Components: wider than On-One's and £7.99.

Don't the wide base cogs limit your amusement to get a good chain line?

Are you ever going to run the hubs geared? If not I'd get the ss hubs + qr adapters

Have Hope hub and Surley cog with Onza spacers. Chainline is perfect. Mine is on a track dropout IOID and use QR with the chaintug bolts.

Works fine. The ss/trials hub isn't that different, but I wanted the flexibility to use the wheels on other bikes.

Use a wide base cog and with Velosolo spacers you can perfect your chainline to within a mm.
