Who'd've thunk it? Substandard cheap lights being unsafe and poor quality?

Good luck with your returns to America ๐Ÿ™„

What's the difference between that battery and the Onethelight one and in what way is the magicshine one worse? (Not trolling - serious question).

Probably nothing and you ought to ask about sending yours back.

Yeah because it's not like any big-name top-dollar brands have had voluntary recalls on batteries is it?

(just Dell, Sony, HP, Toshiba, Toyota, IBM, Apple, Garmin, Nokia, Nikon...)

I don't make any products so I'm not too bothered.

We do however stock Lupine, Light And Motion, Nightrider and Cateye.

TJ- a lot of people bought these off Deal Extreme who will be affected.

Its a voluntary recall by the American distributor

"I think it's fair to say that similar issues may affect owners of the related products tj."

But since they've not actually said what's wrong with them and nobody's reported any particular problems, it's hard to tell.

youll find recalls cost money - no company in the world is going to issue a voluntary recall without good reason ....

given li ion batterys love of exploding and the magic shines charger loving to do similar id be just a touch worried my self ....

Is it the same product? What is the issue? etc etc

this " recall " is simply nothing to do with the UK, there is no point in sending a light bought from deal extreme from hong kong to a different company in the US. Why would the US importer have anything to do with UK bought lights?

Good luck with your returns to America

Indeed - as its nothing to do with the American company that people in the UK have bought lights from a different company. Why would they do a return?
