Have RST improved recently? Just I was looking at a bike today and it had RST Deuce Air forks, but I know they have not been that great in the past and was wondering if things had changed, as I can't afford to get the bike and change the forks straightaway.

What bike?
The RST First Air get great reviews for the bikes they come with. Having said that, the alternatives at that price range are all Suntour!

Get the bike, ride it and change the forks when you need to.

their higher end forks are fine. they did a 29er fork a while ago that got glowing internet reviews. i had one, it was fine. fine just about sums it up. if you look at their website you will see they do all sorts of forks, the lower end ones are still nasty suntour type nonsense and the better ones look like real forks.
