Was looking at these the other day Argyle RCT 140mm

They look suspiciously like my old Pikes - 20mm axle, 1 1/8" steerer, solo air, motion control etc

Could they be used as 140mm trail forks or would the internals/damping be too harsh?

Wasn't the Argyle just a short travel version of the old pike originally? obviously those are longer travel than the original 100mm versions.

My Five has old pikes which i run at 140mm all the time, for XC AM and DH. Great forks.

Those ones are Orange as well, buy them now before I do!!

Hmmm. I tried to use some DJ1s as stiff short-travel trail forks but they were way too harsh and uncompliant.

Just wondering if the Argyles would be the same ๐Ÿ˜•

Then again who uses 140mm DJ forks?

Argyle RCTs are supposed to be good, and the lowers are pikes. im sure they can do a bit of everything. Sam Reynolds used to rate them highly and they've never slowed him down on the trails!
