I've done over 1300 miles so far on my Roval Controle XC SL's, touch wood no problems yet. I've also done about 250 miles on my Roval Traversee, again touch wood, no problems to date.

However... a mate of mine has got some Controle XC SL's and his front bearings went after about 150 miles...

The Specialized Roval Control SL wheelset is fine, though I have only had my 09 S-Works Epic for 2 months and only gets used for racing. What problems are you experiencing?

ive had mine(09 epic s works) for 7 weeks now only used for racing. Folded front wheel up on clic(dont no what i hit but the wheel was in a v shape)got new one on crash repair did Margam at the week end no probs then thought i take it out on Wednesday and to a couple of laps of bike fest. After ride noticed that front wheel was about 3 mm out so to it to dealer they have had a look and all the spoke tensions are all over the place, so now it is on its way back to Factory ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ™

But Touching wood i think rear shock seems to be sorted ๐Ÿ˜€

My bearings have gone very rumbly, they did so very quickly, I'll get round to fitting some ceramic ones sometime!

Otherwise they've been very good.

I know a number of people who destroyed the standard Controles last year in crashes, had a fairly innocuous crash and totalled the wheel, doesn't seem so much of a problem now, I wonder if they've upped the tension.

Mine have been fine over the last 3 months, done a fair bit of riding in/around the Peaks (not really what they were designed for!) as well as a few slightly racier laps at Enduro 6 etc and they've held up fine. Spoke tension is still nice and even.

Edit: They're the Controle SL's
