After the PSA for XT brakes at Rose Bikes - and their subsequent unavailability - i had a wee dig around the Rose Bikes site and they have some stonking deals on their bikes.

Masses of bike for the money - can' think of anything else that comes close really - maybe canyon which are themselves better VFM than most other brands.

Now, whilst they are not the prettiest bikes in the world, and we all know that throwing bling at a dog of a frame won't always make a great bike - does anyone know of they are any good or not?

Focussing on burly MTB rather than lightweight whippet end of the range...

Cheers

I've got a 2011 Granite Chief 2, which has got a couple of hundred quid knocked-off at the moment, making it superb value for money..... really happy with it.

I took it to Passportes du Solei this summer, couple of Afan trips, Cannock Chase and weekly ragging around Swinley, and its given an excellent account of itself. It feels super-burly, but is actually pretty light (relatively).

Interesting that they've swapped to a Monarch shock for 2012..... Any insight Fin?
