[#2623270]

Having just read the article in WMB and seen the weight of the tyre (440grammes)!!!.

I was curious to know if anybody uses them for an everyday tyre.

I niaively thought they are more for racing than trail riding.

How do you reckon they would cope with lakes and Peaks rocky stuff?

Great tyre, but I wouldn't use the Evo version anywhere very rocky.
UST od DD version (if they make one?) would be better.

Got a set of these on my last bike. They might be OK on dry dirt but on rocks and especially damp rocks they were skittish and slippery. Changed them after one easy ride.

Would definitely put them in the racing bracket and personally I would not take them anywhere near the lakes or the peak.

Righto, i'm assuming that weight reduction has to be had from somewhere, it seems the sidewalls on the Evo are where they have trimmed the weight then.

Just noticed the test was with the 2.4" version which is 530grammes. it must be the 1.85"/2.1" that is the low 400gramme weight.

IMO it's a pure XC race tyre. Maybe think about the Racing Ralph instead.
I run Nobby Nic 2.25 front and back through the winter, and NN 2.25 front/Racing Ralph 2.1 rear in the summer.

HTH.
