Askiums are fine, i've had some and Cosmos and Ksyriums, never had a problem with Mavics.

Aksiums are quite heavy but they're cheap and bombproof.

Those model B's are the lightest for the money by a mile IIRC.

EDIT: anyone run them tubeless?

Model B's I'd say.

My Fulcrum 7's are ok though and there quite cheap.

Aksiums I had for 4 years and a bit heavy and a bit flexy but for the price they are a no brainer - The hubs were sweet in amongst very bad weather and road conditions. The rear has just started to get a little rough (over 4 years old though !)

Aksiums - 4 years and counting. Pot holes, snow, salt, off roading. Not a single problem.
