Great pictures. Having grown up in that neck of the woods, Darwen tower will always be a space rocket to me.
That's not rivington!
What Zokes said!
Maybe, but we started and finished at Rivington, and it was a ride, so I reckon "Rivington ride" is as good a title as any! ๐
That's nearer rivington....
EDIT: D'oh beaten to it...
Lowey seems to have some how managed to get a shot of Mrsflashes bum in his set as well.
Funny that
That's not rivington!

It's allowed when you're married! ๐
Is that barrel distortion or a leaning tower?
Superb Pics Rich... thanks for posting them mate.
Nice pictures, brings out just how nice the weather was - I've even got a slight tan.......far better than having major windburn from last week

Not a patch on yours mind Rich.
I took a few, will post them up tonight.
Respect goes out to you Lowey for a superb days riding and also keeping 28 people happy ๐
Gingerflash some great pics there ๐
To the rest of the riders thanks for all being a great bunch it makes a ride much better when everyone is friendly and no one gets left out or behind ๐
I just wished i would have been able to use my granny gear but the bl--dy thing just wouldn't work all day. I thought I had got away with just sore legs but when home I decided to have a soak in the tub with a book and beer, which was great until I suddenly got bad cramp. Its not much fun slipping and sliding in a bath with loads of soap & bubbles ๐ณ and not being able to stretch my leg to get rid of the cramp ๐
Anyhow looking forward to seeing some more pics and hope that anyone who rode this area for the first time enjoyed themselves.
I had 27.5 on my clock for the actual ride, plus the 5 I did on my hard tail before the back brake f--cked up and I had to go back home and exchange for my full suss, so it turned out to be a very good ride to help me get my fitness levels up.
Again Cheer Lowey, looking forward to the next one ๐
STUNNING pics. Where is this one though?!!!

Hora, pretty sure thats the bit after half climbing to Darwen tower you turn off and head down this shute - problem is you loose a lot of height so more climbing.......certainly worth it tho, I think we all had some nearly off moments down it (the picture shows the smooth roll out bit)
Where is this one though?!!!
I thought you was local ?? It's the lower track approaching the tower from the S:

PASSENGER
(Rubs slapped face), I'm not local. If I was local I'd be rubbing my slapped-cheek with a webbed-hand ๐
It's Darwen, not ****in' Blackburn.

I knew it...sooner a later a picture of me off the bike and pushing had to appear.
Excellent Pics there Dave. You two put my photo efforts right to shame.
I have marked the 26th on the Callender and am eagerly awaiting an invite ๐
It's Darwen, not ****in' Blackburn.
Ah,Darwen, the inspiration for Royston Vasey in the League of Gentlemen...
Bunch of inbreds... ๐
To be honest, I;ve had deep seated doubts about Mr. Sparkle since he moved from the tropical paradise of Bolton, to Darwen by choice ๐
Personally I couldnt be that close to Ewood. I would come out in a rash.
