Great pictures. Having grown up in that neck of the woods, Darwen tower will always be a space rocket to me.

Maybe, but we started and finished at Rivington, and it was a ride, so I reckon "Rivington ride" is as good a title as any! ๐Ÿ™‚

Is that barrel distortion or a leaning tower?

Respect goes out to you Lowey for a superb days riding and also keeping 28 people happy ๐Ÿ˜€
Gingerflash some great pics there ๐Ÿ˜‰
To the rest of the riders thanks for all being a great bunch it makes a ride much better when everyone is friendly and no one gets left out or behind ๐Ÿ˜€
I just wished i would have been able to use my granny gear but the bl--dy thing just wouldn't work all day. I thought I had got away with just sore legs but when home I decided to have a soak in the tub with a book and beer, which was great until I suddenly got bad cramp. Its not much fun slipping and sliding in a bath with loads of soap & bubbles ๐Ÿ˜ณ and not being able to stretch my leg to get rid of the cramp ๐Ÿ™
Anyhow looking forward to seeing some more pics and hope that anyone who rode this area for the first time enjoyed themselves.
I had 27.5 on my clock for the actual ride, plus the 5 I did on my hard tail before the back brake f--cked up and I had to go back home and exchange for my full suss, so it turned out to be a very good ride to help me get my fitness levels up.

Again Cheer Lowey, looking forward to the next one ๐Ÿ˜€

Hora, pretty sure thats the bit after half climbing to Darwen tower you turn off and head down this shute - problem is you loose a lot of height so more climbing.......certainly worth it tho, I think we all had some nearly off moments down it (the picture shows the smooth roll out bit)

(Rubs slapped face), I'm not local. If I was local I'd be rubbing my slapped-cheek with a webbed-hand ๐Ÿ™„

To be honest, I;ve had deep seated doubts about Mr. Sparkle since he moved from the tropical paradise of Bolton, to Darwen by choice ๐Ÿ˜›

Personally I couldnt be that close to Ewood. I would come out in a rash.
