Bit of a random one but does anybody know whether it's possible to ride in Alpe D'huez during Mega week?
I've been waaay to busy of late to get my entry in (albeit the rest of the chaps managed it!!)....checked today and it turns out no more entries are being accepted!! (there were no notes on the site to mention that it was reaching capacity....so I left it!!...school boy error!!)...
Wondering whether I can still head down there, ride the courses etc but just not do the event/get the timing chip etc etc....
Any ideas?
You can. It'll be hella busy and the trails used for the Mega will be well cut up by the end of the week, but there are some OK ones elsewhere on the mountain. Your lift pass also gets you a day at Les Deux Alpes I think.
You can ride it all.
Go down to the check in site on the correct day, not sure which one and you might get into the race, can't hurt trying. It might not be full, don't they close entries a short while before the race anyway?
