HI guys im off to Alderley Edge to do a huge glass install in a house there and my manager suggested i take my bike. Ive never been there before so does anyone know of any good riding i can do while im there for the 3 days? Thanks.
What bike, mountain or road got plenty of choice.
ah sorry i forgot that, definitely mountain as i dont even own a road bike, yet 😉
Lots of lovely quiet country lanes if you road ride.
There are a few bridleways, however I don't think they really go anywhere.
The best place would be either Poynton and up around Lyme park, or a really good place is the Roman Lakes, Marple near Stockport.
When are you coming up? There are enough posters in the vicinity to [s]rip your legs off[/s] sort you out with a [s]beasting[/s] nice ride. As Bunnyhop says there's very little legal stuff around the edge itself, but plenty of stuff a short drive away - there's our mob out of marple, the clarion out of stockport, the white nancy boys out of bollington, the manchester mountain bikers all over the place...
im up there from tomorrow until thursday night when hopefully i should be finished in the guys house. Thanks for the advice guys if the weather holds i will be bringing the bike up 🙂
