Just unpacked everything, MMX version, ready to install...
There's a piece of plastic with Rochshox written on it that looks like it is supposed to be a hose guide, presumably this needs cable tying to the back of the seat post?
There's a silver seat collar gizmo - presumably to limit the 125mm drop to nearer 100mm
I've got the matchmaker kit (not using it as mounting a LH remote on the RHS).
Finally, there's a block of black metal, curved to about handlebar diameter, with a hole through it. No thread, but it looks like a screw will go through the hole - any ideas?
Hopefully the bleed will be straight forwards.
You'll figure it out when you install it. You're unlikely to use everything tho
It's bonkers isn't it, loads of bits with no clues or a guess as to what they are for. There's also 6-10 very little black plastic things I have no clue about.
I think the bit you're on about is for the handle bar clamp, or something like that.
Hah! That metal block is part of the clamp, but serves no purpose other than adding some weight to the bike. The hose guide thingy is quite useful, maybe I'll patent a proper seat collar with one already built in.
The metal block is so that you can remove it to put an avid brake in that slot. The little black plastic things clip together and clip your reverb hose to either a gear cable outer or a brake hose.
I always was confused as to what the **** the small seperate metal thing in a red rubber sock was.

2013 specialized enduros got there first
what's the rubber sock/oversize end cap for?
still a mistery to me.
the plastic bit goes round your seatube, under the seatpost clamp.
I filed a groove in my Qr seatclamp, fitted a sks mudguard stay nut and now the cable doesn't kink anymore.
the smooth metal bit with two holes is to 'guide' the cable-it's not necessary I found,I'm sure I'll find a use for it in the next 15years.
bleed is easy.
So we still havent worked out what the screw with the red plastic cap is?
