Had my (air) revs for just over a year (had quite a bit of use of that time) and over the past month they've developed some real play/knocking sound.(sort of clunking sound on rebound) It's worse if they are dialled out (more than 100mm)
I seem to be losing pressure in the -neg air chamber as well.. i'm a bit worried as i've got mayhem coming up and tftuned are busy until the end of the month.
Is there a quick way to tell if it's bushes? anything easy to replace/service?
Was going to give a ring ronud the bike shops in Bristol to see if they can fit me in.
Well, you can't touch the bushes yourself, have you tried the importers? They do servicing, as do CRC
I'd triple check your headset's not loose first though....
The air pressure could well be just due to dry seals. It's an easy DIY service to fix that.....
Yep.. checked headset.. tightened and it's not that.
It seems more up and down play i fhtta makes sense.. If I test it by hitting the wheel on the ground I can feel it 'clunk' a very real noticeable audible clunk (sort of topping out)
Noticed it loosing neg pressure after every ride
Sorry cheers PeterPoddy.. how is is it to DIY if it's dry seals?
Just got them back from a full service. Outcome
* Seals dry, no oil
The knocking was caused from the u turn. Tftuned explain the same problem
Thereโs play in the travel adjust helix. A small amount of play is necessary because if it was tight you wouldnโt be able to turn it, however this can cause a knock. During service, we reduce this as much as possible but it can never be completely eliminated.
He greased it all up and it seems fine now
All ready for Mayhem now ๐
