[Closed] Replacing crank brothers mallet bushings

So I'm looking to replace the bushings in my crank brothers pedals and I'm not willing to pay the Crank brothers prices so am looking at sourcing the parts myself.

The main problem is finding the right size bushings- I can only find them in bronze. Does anyone think it would be a problem to replace the plastic bushings with a bronze version? I reckon as long as I put grease on the shaft every now and then it should be fine and as its bronze its still going to wear faster than the steel shaft.
