Got a set of 09 XT RF+ units and I'm wanting to remove the gear indicator windows...looks like it is a screw removal and they come off - is it as simple as that?
Daft question but the last set of RF+ shifters I did this to, I ended up dismantling the whole unit (it was way back in the very early days of RF+) so ended up hacksawing the windows off so that the screws kept everything held in place!
I think there should be a blanking plate underneath too
Nope - easy - did my 08' XT windows - two small screws then screw the blanking caps on (supplied behind the windows) - viola!
Nice one thanks...going to go for a play with my controls tonight and reckon putting the shifters outside the levers will make a bit of a difference...but the windows need to go for that to work!
