[#10809516]

I've got a praxis crank and bb on my pinnacle arkose 3. I've just bought a 105 power meter, so need to replace the crank (assuming praxis crank interface is incompatible with shimanos).

I vaugely recall reading i needed a special tool to remove the crank and bb. Is this the case?

Is there a way of bodging it?

Does the praxis crank and bb have any value? They're in reasonable nick, but i'm assuming they're like a sh*t version of 105 and only specced to meet a price point.

My specialized tarmac came with Praxis crank / BB. I believe you do need a tool (about £30 I think). So a specialized dealer should have the tool if you want them to just remove it.

I’ve got a spare praxis BB tool here. I’m in Edinburgh if you want to pick it up or I can post it to you if you DM me your address.

I removed some Praxis cranks as I wanted to change crank lengths. They seemed really nice, certainly nicer (lighter anyway) than the Tiagra cranks I replaced them with. From recollection I think they're a similar weight to 105.

But yes, special tool required, think they give you two in a pack for £30 weirdly.

Cheers all - wbm1874 - that's a very kind offer. I will probably take you up on it, but I've just spotted there is a 3d printable praxis bb tool, so i will try and print that and see if it works...
