Deity Deftraps are my favourite at the moment. I think they have even more grip than my Deity TMacs when coupled with 5.10 Trail Cross Mid Pros because the pins are slimmer.

Just as well Diety Deftraps are £40 then. I’m also a fan at the moment

Selling these if interested. If not I think nukeproof/burgtec composites Are good my friends had at least 18 months probably over 2 years out of a set.

Nukeproof Horizons. Should find some second hand for that. I’d rather run them than any plastic pedal.

The Burgtec comps didn’t last long. They are resigned to the emergency spares bin. Also not that grippy.

2 pairs of DMR V12s here. One pair is at least 15 years old & well used. Happy with them, so haven't tried any of the new fangled expensive ones.

V12's are nice unless you have big feet. Can you get Vaults for 50 quid yet? They're my favourite flat pedals ever even if they do need occasional maintenance.

Has anyone seen the Deity pedals in stock in black? I'm not sure I can pull off hot pink.

Also have Horizon Comp (didn’t know they’d been discontinued)

Also have Nukeprooof Electrons on the SS. No probs and they take a beating with my weight/these Hills

On my second pair of Chromag Synths.
Smashed my first pair & replace them with Burgtecs, didn't rate them so got another pair of Synths.

HT PA03a are the same as Horizon Comps and still available.

Seem to remember having read that when HT realised how popular the Horizons were they stopped licensing them to Nukeproof.

I've had a set of HT PA03
for 3 years , still smooth bearings and grippy with 5tens.

Had lots of pedals but the Deftraps are the best.

Oddly I got mine from the LBS near my parents - Helensburgh cycles. They had a few pairs in stock so might be worth a call

HT Pa03 are different to Horizon Comps. They’re more rounded and, far more importantly, have proper screws on the outside edge rather than the 2 moulded ones on the Horizons. If anything the HTs might be better as a result

Edit: on the other hand they have an axle bulge that the Horizons don’t - so swings and roundabouts. Definitely not the same pedal though

Yeah, they're clearly not the same. Could be very closely related though.

I gave up looking for Deftraps. Proper gold stuff. I'm genuinely amazed at people saying that they have loads of use out of V12s. I have 3 different generations and all have the DMR bush rattle that they developed very quickly.
Currently on Burgtec Composites and I really like them 🙂

I occasionally order parts from the US, Europe, and Australia. Sometimes you just can’t get some parts easily in the UK.

I'd try to stretch the budget a little bit and loot into the Unite Instinct pedals. Aluminium, good size, made in the UK. Also a clever pin system which uses standard set screws tightened "head first" into the pedal. This way the pin's wrench socket is protected and allows for easy removal, but avoiding having to pass a damaged pin thread through the pedal body like on most systems. Seems like the best of both worlds.

I'm a 2 years and something Nukeproof Horizon user, recently tried both the Oneup Composites and the Burgtec MK4 composites, disliked them both as the thin M3 pins make for a weird, floaty shoe engagement
