I'll just get in before all the Conti 4seasons fans- Vittoria Pave Evo CXG. ca £30 each at bikebitsuk.

Michelin krylion carbon. £20 each at CRC at the moment. Quick, grippy, robust and cheap.

vittoria pave, end of! By far the best winter tyre I have ever used they give lots of confidence in the wet, Ive even raced on them.

conti 4 seasons here - any puncture I do get, which is very seldom, are slow ones. Doing around 150 miles a week on them.

Didn't rate Michelin krylion carbons at all, maybe it was all the hype but didn't find them particularly puncture proof or long lasting.

spec boroughs last winter, worked well but no puncture protection (so I had to fit some of those plastic protection thingies, which worked but they are heavy). I'd recommend the tyres in terms of not falling off all last winter 🙂
I'm trying Schwalbe Marathon plus, which were utter sods to get on, but are puncture protected. We shall see, so far so good.
