As ever, I shall recommend Intense LockOns. They have a good grip pattern, great shape and a semi-flange. Hmmmmm, flange.

Lizard skins - got a set of peatys and a set of their generic lock-on. Happy with both and getting two more sets for the rest of the bikes.

I got some of those [url= http://www.mtb-direct.co.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi?item=ITEM080912163843 ]Imperial Lock[/url] too, with the metal caps, they are a fekin bargain and look mint. Bit thin but not as harsh as they look. The caps are scratched as hell already but that's wot they're for!

For summer riding I highly reccommend Bontranger foams. Really comfortable, light, and cheap.

For lock-ons, I'd go for Ruffians if you've got small hands or don't want much cushioning, or Rogues if you have bigger hands and want cushioning.

if you reckon you could get away without lock-ons, i.e. you're not riding DH or going Large, then I think onZa Ules are absolutely peerless. have had them on all my hardtails since 1995...
