I have the usual magazine freebies and Endura coolmax type socks but i find them quite thin i prefer a sturdier comfier sock (flat pedal user with five tens).
So recommendations please, like the look of Royal racing crew socks, any others?
I recently bought a 3 pack of Royal Crews. They’re a bit thicker than my Endura Argyle coolmax’s, and they are also a good length, so it sounds like they might be ideal for you. I’m also a fan of Sock Guy socks. I have two pairs of 6” Argyles which fall between the Enduras and Royals for thickness.

Different thicknesses of material on different parts of the feet and although the Outlast fabric feels kind of warm to begin with it does actually work as described.
Left and right specific socks as well woot!

Also, have Defeet Woolie Boolies which are good or Sealskinz for cold/wet, usually with Smartwool liner socks. Oh, the Singletrack ones are ok when it's warm 😀
