Devon would also be grand, though I know Exmoor and barnstaple areas well.

Back at Easter we walked the coast path from Bude to Boscastle & then on day 2 Boscastle to Port Isaac then got the bus back to Bude - stunning views but over 2400 steps to climb on the second leg!
Not a huge amount of biking - Exmoor on the other hand has loads of it.
Treyarnon Bay. The [url= http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/south-west-england/hostels/treyarnon/index.aspx ]Youth Hostel[/url] there is awesome, right on the cliffs. Loads of campsites round there too, not far from Padstow for food and the Camel Trail for those family rides.
