I have £50-60 to spend on a bike computer. I'd like it to fit on to two or more bikes eventually.
Are HRM, Altimeters, Cadence, Wireless etc. worth having? I don't train specifically but I thought looking at my heart beat may help me pace myself in road and mtb events as I always seem to go out too fast.

Have a Cateye Micro Wireless. Good so far although maybe the display is a bit small. Has function for 2 different bikes and wheel sizes and auto detects them when you clip it on the bike. Wireless means no messy cables and zip ties and also means it's a little more crash resistant. Never had one with a cadence or heart rate monitor though, use it more as a navigation tool.
