How do I increase my fork travel from 80 to 100mm ? Some people say its a full strip down others a 5 minute job.
They are 2009 29 Reba.
it is a strip down job, only the air side though.
pop the lowers off, and the correct thing to do is remove the circlip then pull the push rod out, on it are a number of items, what you need to remove is a piece of plastic about 20mm long and sort of hour glass shaped. then reassemble.
There are guides on how to do the strip down on line that may help.
MAKE SURE YOU LET ALL THE AIR OUT FIRST!!!!
This video is for a service and gives you a good idea. I dont think you will need to remove the top cap. It doesnt mention the spacer - but that just pushes off the rod.
You will need oil - 15wt to reassemble (or if really skint you might be able to reuse whats in there already)
