[#1743964]

Took my new Prince Albert for its first ride today and other than a squeaky seat everything was ok...well until half way round when I realised i could not change into my highest gear on the rear as a result of the mech being way too high and pressing against the frame hanger. Everything seemed fine before i came out and when i set it all up yesterday...for the first time i may add so probably made some rookie mistake with my spannering.

Any ideas what i have done wrong and need to do to rectify it? Normally i would get a man in, but am trying to do all my own maintenance myself now.

Same as mine.

undo the main allan bolt and you can pull the mech back. I used an allan key in the star bolt to lever it up and back.

The additonal black plate at the top allows for the mech to swing about 90 deg. But make sure it is nice and tight once on.

Nah everything is in the same place. Undoing the mech hanger bolt and pulling it back and then retightening as Dimmadan suggests seems to have helped.....just wonder if it will go back again tho?

...also noticed i have thread the chain the wrong way round the mech ๐Ÿ˜ณ

mech not mounted properly - too far forward on the pivot for sure

Loosen main mounting bolt and pull the mech at least 90 degrees back. there should be a stop to stop it moving too far forward
